The Ujima Center for School Counseling Scholars at Bowie State University prepares culturally responsive school counselors who support the academic, social-emotional, and college and career success of K-12 students, particularly in underserved communities. ENGYN provided content strategy, content production, video interviews, short-form video content, copywriting, and social media content planning.

The Challenge

The Ujima Center had powerful stories to tell, from faculty expertise to scholar experiences, but most of that impact lived in conversations rather than reusable digital content.

The Center needed a way to capture authentic voices, showcase the value of the program, and build content that could educate prospective scholars while strengthening awareness of its mission long after filming wrapped.

Our Approach

ENGYN planned and produced an on-site content shoot at Bowie State featuring faculty, scholars, and school counselors, then built that footage into an evergreen content library. Services included:

  • Content strategy — a plan to turn one shoot into months of usable, on-mission content.
  • Content production — a full-day, on-site shoot at Bowie State University.
  • Video interviews — guided conversations with faculty, scholars, and school counselors.
  • Short-form video content — footage edited into a library of shareable Reels.
  • Copywriting — captions and messaging built around each story.
  • Social media content planning — a weekly publishing schedule across an eight-month rollout.
